Connecting with Hiwa-i-te-rangi

These short activities and ideas create the perfect environment for some Hiwa-i-te-rangi learning while reflecting and setting some goals for the futute

A little background...

Hiwa-i-te-Rangi is the youngest whetū of the Matariki cluster and connects to dreams and hopes for the year ahead. During Matariki, Māori would recite karakia and send their wishes for the year to the star, hoping they would be fulfilled. Hiwa-i-te-Rangi is said to be a guardian star, providing light and encouragement for us to move towards our goals. She gives us the  determination to follow our dreams and navigate the journey of personal development.
